Romney, Obama, or Biden? Who is MORE Charitable?

Everyone, and I really mean EVERYONE, badgered Mitt Romney into releasing his tax information and today those records were released. Not surprisingly to anyone who considers themselves Republican or Conservative, Romney’s charitable contributions totaled approximately 15% of his massive income. That’s a LOT of dough campers. In comparison, Obama contributes approximately 1% of his income to charity and that great champion of the poor – Joe Biden – contributed a total of $369. Really? That tightwad only gave $369 to charity?!?

For all the bitching Biden does about Republicans not caring for the less fortunate, he gave a total of $369. That isn’t even enough to pay the rent for 1 family. What a humanitarian!

However – you must keep in mind the differences between the Republican/Conservative and Democrat/Socialist mindsets in dealing with poverty.

Republicans and Conservatives believe that you fight poverty first by creating opportunity for people to help themselves. By creating a business friendly environment jobs are created as well. No one can make a successful enterprise of any size without the help of others. Whether those others are business partners or employees, EVERYONE needs help making a success. For those who need help getting back on their feet, private charity sponsored by private citizens are better able to fill the gaps by stretching a contributed dollar further than the government could ever dream of stretching a dollar stolen through taxation. For those who truly need long-term assistance or life long assistance due to permanent injury or illness, government has a limited place by supporting these unfortunate people with our tax dollars. We all share the burden of supporting those who truly cannot support themselves.

The Democrat/Socialist concept is to force everyone to give up an arbitrary amount of income to the government who then decides where best to send the money. Often times political allies and insiders profit while the working stiff faces the possibility of losing his job because his company is being taxed out of existence.

Socialism is shared misery. There is no prosperity in socialism or its cousin communism. The phrase spreading the wealth actually translates into spreading the misery. If everyone is equally poor, the left may finally be satisfied.

Before I end my opinions on this matter, let me remind you of what charity is. The term charity originates from the Greek “Agape” or “Love”. Charity means love. How can one “love” if that “love” is being forced? The short answer is that you can’t. Charity can only be beneficial for anyone – giver or receiver – if it is freely given. Those who receive the benefits of charity freely given are more appreciative of what they receive knowing someone else sacrificed their personal treasure for them.

We had the opportunity to stay at the Ronald MacDonald House in Cincinnati, Ohio for a short time when our daughter was born. Every day, volunteers from the community prepare meals for those who are consumed by the health of their child or children. These people don’t have to do what they are doing. They do it because they care and that means even more to these parents than they could EVER truly realize. As a parent who has benefited from this generosity I can feel safe in saying THANK YOU to all of you who volunteer at your local Ronald MacDonald House. And for all of you who volunteer elsewhere, thank you too. Someone would want you to know that. Your “Love/Agape/Charity” is truly appreciated. The love that you give is freely given and is a true gift. So thank you.

Gingrich Takes South Carolina – Romney’s Fat Lady Develops Laryngitis

January 22, 2012 Elections Comments Off

Newt Gingrich prevailed in the South Carolina Primary by garnering 40% of the votes in a 4-man race. This has the net effect of being a game changer for the GOP Nomination. Romney’s presumptions have been dashed and the 4-man race – in reality a 3-man race because Paul is just a freakin nutcase – where each of the front runners all have one race. What will happen in Florida? Will the Midwest states actually have a decision to make in March? Or could the nomination be in doubt all the way up to the convention in August? Time will only tell.

Gingrich’s win in South Carolina damages Romney the most and breathes new life into both the Gingrich and Santorum campaigns. Paul as I stated above is a headcase who is only in this race to cause trouble. He and his PaulBots are an annoyance and nothing more. He has absolutely no shot at winning the nomination and if by some act of national stupidity he were to, Obama would win his second term because I don’t even think I’d be able to hold my nose tight enough to cast an anti-Obama vote for Paul.

Saturday’s big loser? Romney of course. He and his supporters all thought he had the nomination all sewn up. Silly RINOS, Mitt’s cockiness is his undoing.

Note: Gingrich’s vote percentage has been changed in this piece. The original vote totals were originally reported and those numbers have been revised down.

Perry Out – Endorses Gingrich

January 21, 2012 Elections Comments Off

As of Wednesday of this week, Texas Governor Rick Perry has bowed out the race for the GOP Nomination for President. A natural endorsement for the ONLY Conservative candidate in the race – Rick Santorum – didn’t materialize. Perry instead is backing former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. This twist of events has helped catapult Newt into the driver’s seat in South Carolina.

<-------------------------- oo ------------------------->

In other campaign news, Rick Santorum is vowing to stay in the race even after South Carolina. Emboldened by the re-calculated results of Iowa, Rick remains the ONLY Conservative candidate in the field. And as such Thursday Santorum picked up the endorsement of Dr. James Dobson and his organization Focus on the Family rounding out what seems to be a sweep of Evangelical endorsements for Rick.

<------------------------- oo --------------------------->

Newt Gingrich is under fire directed at him from the liberal media giant ABC News who reportedly has been wooing Newt’s ex-wife to do an interview about the former Speaker for TWO YEARS! They are undoubtedly paying the former Mrs. Newt for the exclusive interview which was submarined by The Drudge Report earlier in the week.

CNN correspondent John King made an attempt to capitalize on the leaked ABC News exclusive by asking Newt about the most salacious of the topics the former Mrs. Gingrich told ABC. This prompted the former Speaker to turn the question on King and the liberal media which resulted in a standing ovation of Gingrich. The encounter combined with Perry’s exit has pushed Newt’s numbers above Romney’s.

King did not come out of this encounter very well. Fellow CNN correspondent Howard Kurtz chastised King publicly about the exchange with Gingrich.

“Newt Gingrich probably won the debate in those opening moments,” Kurtz said. “And I must say that I thought it was a misstep for John King, who is a fair and seasoned and balanced reporter, to make that the very first question of the debate.”

“Everything that happened after that, even when Mitt Romney stumbled about his tax return, was indeed an afterthought,” he added.

Nice going King! Bravo! And please keep eating your own CNN. Your political biases were evident even before Fox came to town.

Potential South Carolina Impacts…

As of this writing, Iowa belongs to Santorum and New Hampshire to Romeny. Should South Carolina go to Gingrich, it’s a new ball game campers. Stay tuned as South Carolina is headed to the polls today.

Huntsman is Out – Throws Support Behind Romney

January 16, 2012 Elections Comments Off

John Huntsman has announced that he is ending his quest for the Republican Presidential Nomination and he is throwing his support behind Romney. Big surprise there. Huntsman’s daddy owns a cancer treatment center in Utah. Romney is a Mormon. The junior Huntsman is so moderate the lines between he and Emperor Barry-O or severely blurred so it would make sense that he’d support the most liberal candidate remaining.

His 5 remaining voters in South Carolina are now wondering whether they should cast the symbolic vote – although their vote always would have been symbolic – or follow their candidate in supporting the Massachusetts liberal. What a quandary they must be in.

Right now if the general election were to be held today, we would have a Massachusetts Liberal vs an Illinois Socialist. Not much of a choice if you ask me. But at least Romney has a heart. Obama… not so much.

This non-choice is why I continue to support Rick Santorum.

Rick is consistently Conservative. He has a plan to attract manufacturing. He is consistently pro-life and practices what he preaches on this front. He has actually captured the evangelical endorsement which is something that I feared he would be denied based upon ecumenical biases. But our nation’s social Conservatives realize who walks the walk and not just talks the talk.

Rick is a clear departure from Obama. He doesn’t represent a blurred line. Don’t vote for Obama Lite. Vote for a complete change in direction and fulfill Obama’s promise to bring about change. Change from the Euro-socialist model which has been leading this nation down the path toward ruin for decades.

Racism is Alive And Well In 2012 – But Not Residing In Who You Think…

January 15, 2012 Elections, The Scourge of Racism Comments Off

Racism is a scourge on the American experience. At our nation’s founding, it was advocated that slavery be ended with the Constitution’s adoption. But for fear of losing southern states, the framers made a little pact with the devil. The Constitution outlawed the importation of slaves but it did not outlaw the practice. Mistake #1 (and it’s a biggie I admit). For the purpose of apportionment, southern states wanted to count Native Americans and slaves – who they wanted to deny the rights of citizenship – as members of the population for the purpose of apportioning representatives. This would give the south’s power grabbers more power at the expense of those who they didn’t consider to be people. This prompted the 2/3rds compromise that those who cling to the racial tensions of the 1960s keep throwing in the faces of our founders. This I consider our nation’s mistake #2. Slavery as a practice should have ended at our founding – but it didn’t. And there isn’t a human being alive today that had the ability to change the decisions made then.

But I feel that the mistakes made at our founding have not been recouped. If anything, they’ve been made worse but not by anyone of the usual suspects. Let me explain.

In 2012, the Tea Party is painted as racists because they oppose the socialist agenda of a President who happens to be black. But have you taken a look at the self-proclaimed 99%ers “protesting” around the nation in what has become known as “occupy wall street”? Swastikas appear to be the major symbol of that “protest”. Rape, murder, and the mass consumption of illicit drugs are common place as is leaving unattended children in unoccupied “occupy” tents. Those who proclaim they are protesting for the redistribution of wealth from the 1% to the 99% are often times products of privilege who haven’t themselves lifted a finger to help anyone else.

I just read a story out of South Carolina of Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney reaching into his pocket, pulling out his wallet, and giving an unemployed woman an undisclosed amount of money. He introduced her to Gov. Haley and the State Treasurer Loftis. Loftis paid the woman’s electric bill. Tell me – I WANT ONE OF THOSE FLEA BAGGERS TO TELL ME – who on their side would even think about doing something like this?

Does it matter what the color of this woman’s skin is? Does it matter that Romney is a Mormon? What about Haley or Loftis? The answer is no. But in the interest of disclosure, the woman in question is African-American, Romney is a Mormon, Haley was a Tea Party candidate when she ran for Governor; and Romney, Haley, and Loftis were under no obligation to assist this woman. But they did. THIS – is how we should all get along.

Race is a small consideration anymore. Only those wishing to perpetuate racial tensions or use it as a political crutch mention it anymore. Oppose Obama on the color of the sky and you will be labeled a racist.

Governors Romney and Haley did a wonderful deed in Sumter, SC. It is not enough to swing my vote to him but I will feel a bit less uncomfortable if he is the Republican Nominee in November knowing that he is human.

That said…

I continue to support Rick Santorum for the Republican Nomination. Why? He is a social Conservative with an economic agenda. No one else has one. Rick understands the plight of working people coming from a manufacturing center which lost all of its industry. He understands that attracting manufacturing back to the United States is key to putting people to work. Allowing people to chart their own destinies is the key to ending this economic stalemate. And in the process, allows people to recover their dignity.

But way to go Mitt. It is acts like this that shows that Republicans are not money and power hungry misers.

Pot Smokers and Pacifists Unite in Iowa to Deliver a Victorious 3rd Place for Paul…

January 3, 2012 Elections Comments Off

… see also sarcasm. I predict that if Paul is corrupt enough to “win” the nomination, he will finish in 3rd place in November. This is not the direction the Republican party needs to be traveling.

For all the platitudes Ron Paul was spewing in his speech in Iowa, he hasn’t yet faced reality. Pot smokers and pacifists cannot deliver a victory in November. For all their enthusiasm as Paul calls it, the PaulBots cannot deliver numbers in quantities enough to overcome Emperor Barry-0 in November if the Republicans stay home.

Wake up you drugged out peacenicks! Bashing the Fed and our paper currency will not be enough to deliver social and economic Conservatives. Paul is a nutjob. He should actually change his last name to Batguano.

GOP Candidates – Who Is Who

December 30, 2011 Elections Comments Off

Before I get started, I mean no ill-will to any of the Republican candidates for the nomination. I believe them all to be good intentioned and have a common goal of defeating the biggest and worst enemy this great nation ever had – namely Barrack Hussein Obama.

That said, let’s take a look at the candidates.

Mitt Romney – The major objection that I have against Romney is RomneyCare. It is ObamaCare on a smaller scale.

Newt Gingrich – In 2006 Newt actually supported the idea of RomneyCare.

Ron Paul – Are you kidding me? Where do I start. First and foremost he is a nutjob. How Texas keeps sending that flake to Congress is beyond me. Specifically, his troubles over the Newsletter that he refuses to discuss. Along with that, his isolationist stances, his praise for Mr. A. Hitler, and his opposition to Israel. It seems the loyalties of Ron Paul are a bit misplaced.

Jon Huntsman – One word – LIBERAL.

Michelle Bachmann – I like Michelle but her campaign never had legs and it seems unlikely to ever grow a pair.

Rick Perry – Troublesome Pastor, anti-Catholic biases, and an inability to control what comes out of his pie-hole.

Rick Santorum - What can I say, Rick is on the upswing. I have been overjoyed to see that Evangelicals are putting aside their normal anti-Catholic biases to stand with the man who best represents the same values they hold. Rick is both a social and economic Conservative who is poised to deliver a better than expected showing in Iowa. I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually pulls off a win there. Between the endorsement of major Evangelical groups, that he has actually personally visited all 99 counties and has representatives who will be in a majority of the caucus locations, Rick could be the last man standing. This would put a damper on the New York Times approved candidates.

Whomever the eventual GOP candidate is, I will likely support in the General. However, I reserve the right to not like the choice. As should you.

Good Bye Kim Jong ‘Mentally’ Il

December 20, 2011 News Comments Off

News concerning the demise of Kim Jong “mentally” Il has finally reached the North American continent. Ironically, we got told the same time his peasants were informed – 2 days after he croaked. So in dishonor of the turd who let 15% of his population starve to death while he played games designed to bilk the US and other governments out of “humanitarian” aid which never reached his people, I have a little video to display.

Enjoy your time in Hell along side Mao, Stalin, Hitler, and bin Laden. And if there is any justice in the world, you will be soon joined by Chavez, Castro, Ahmadinejad, and Assad (among others).

Rick Santorum: ‘We have a President who basically agrees with all the philosophies of the EU”

Former United States Senator turned GOP Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum had a few choice words on the idea of US taxpayers monies being used to bailout the financially troubled European Union.

From the Daily Caller:

Rick is right. The EU was established to spread socialism more so than for financial reasons. The experiment has done nothing to bring economic stability to the continent nor has the common currency done anything to unite the people. The Eurosocialist model of the EU is the model that Obama envies as his idiotic false sense of morality guides him into thinking that taking from one person to give to another is morally superior to that of allowing people to earn their own way.

Third Party Threatens Obama 2012 Victory

December 15, 2011 Elections Comments Off

The Libertarian Party has been talking with former New Mexico Republican Governor Gary Johnson about whether he would be willing to accept their Party’s nomination for President. He recently met with Party officials and outlined what a hypothetical 3rd Party run would look like.

According to an article in the Daily Caller…

“There wouldn’t be an altering to the message,” an upbeat sounding Johnson told The Daily Caller from Miami, where he is meeting with Libertarian Party officials. “The message I think has broad appeal. The notion of fiscal conservancy, balancing the federal budget, advocating for a fair tax — you know, I really think that does some [beneficial] economic things.”

“I’m an absolute supporter of the Second Amendment,” he continued. “I’m pro-gay marriage, I support a woman’s right to choose, I advocate for getting out of our foreign military involvements and I advocate for legalizing marijuana.”

“I just think that [message] resonates with a whole lot of Americans,” he said. “And maybe it resonates all across the political spectrum, but it’s one that’s really not being presented.”

No Mr. Johnson, what it would look like is the most socially liberal Republicans would peel off the GOP to vote for you. The most fiscally Conservative Democrats will vote for Romney if he wins the nomination (GOD help us). However, if the nominee is anyone who is socially Conservative, the Blue Blooded RINO types would be either staying home or voting for a non-candidate like you who accepted the Libertarian Nomination just to grasp as some semblance of political relevancy. This would equal a Obama win.

However, if a real candidate were to emerge from the fray, someone like Rick Santorum or another across the board Conservative, perhaps the American people will make the right choice. Perhaps instead of voting for Socialism or Socialism Lite (Dem or RINO respectively), they would see a clear choice and decide that perhaps the nation has gone down the wrong road for a very long time and decide a reversal of direction was in order.

In 2008, the American people were not presented with a clear choice. If the GOP nominates Mitt Romney, the Party will be asking for a repeat of 2008. Should Johnson decide to accept the Libertarian offer just to get his name on a ballot – ANY BALLOT, he would be giving Obama the fuel he needs to continue destroying what is left of our once great nation.

As of right at this moment in American history, the sitting President is ripe for the picking. People like Johnson only promise to breathe new life into a dead candidate. Please do not allow Johnson to aid in the resurrection of BHO – the potential zombie candidate from the People’s Republic of Chicago.

A Libertarian Gary Johnson victory is pie-in-the-sky wishful dreaming because it will NEVER actually happen. So why run but to disrupt the process and hand another 4 years to Emperor Barry Soetoro Obama – the illegal presidente.
